Grace Lutheran Pre-School

Preschool is an exciting and fun time for yourself and your child. It is not our goal to stress academic performance. Rather, it is the purpose of this program to provide an environment and experience where your child may grow under careful Christian witness in various aspects (spiritual, emotional, psychological, social, intellectual and physical.)

To this end, the preschool will give exposure to a wide variety of experiences such as sharing, playing together, making crafts, fine and gross motor skills, etc. This program is open to all and does not discriminate against any race, color, or ethnic origin.

Grace Preschool is a program of the Grace Lutheran Church. It is under the direct supervision of the Board of Education of the Congregation.

Two sessions will be held: Monday and Wednesday 9:00AM - 11:30AM and 12:30PM -3:00PM.

We can take a maximum of 15 students per session. We need a regular parent helper for each session. The helper's student tuition is waved if they help full time on a regular basis. Please contact Jana Saltness (285-3543 or 285-6865) if you would like to know more about being a parent helper. This is a commitment for the whole preschool year.

We want you to be aware that our curriculum does come from a Christian perspective. We believe that it is important for children to learn of God's love for them in Jesus.

The first week of each month will be show and tell. If your child would like to share something with the class, please send one appropriate item and help them ahead of time with what they might say about the item. We will attempt to follow the Three Forks School calendar, as far as days off and Holiday's.

A monthly newsletter will be provided to inform you of preschool activities for that month .

We ask parents to provide snacks on a rotating basis. The child who provides snacks for the week, also gets to pass them out. Snacks can be any sort ( apples,trail mix, cookies, etc.) Please save the fancy snacks (cupcakes, etc.) for party days. Please also provide a beverage (juice, milk, etc.) - you may use the church's refrigerator. The number of snacks you need to bring depends on the enrollment in your child's class. Your snack turn, for the week, will be in the newsletter that is passed out at the beginning of each month. The preschool will provide snacks for the first week of classes.

Should you need to contact Jana Saltness, her home number is 285-3543 and the church number is 285-6865. Please feel free to call her any time with any questions or concerns . A list of supplies that your child needs such as pencils, crayons, etc. will be provided. We may occasionally ask for donations of recycled product for special projects such as toilet paper rolls, milk cartons, etc.

TUITION FOR PRESCHOOL

No child shall be denied an opportunity for a preschool education at Grace Preschool because of their financial situation. However, a regular commitment is needed to keep the program going . The Board has set a tuition at $40.00 per month. A statement will be sent out each month. If it is a hardship and you need to make other arrangements please contact us and we will be happy to work something out. Please make checks payable to Grace Lutheran Church and write in the memo what month you are paying for.

To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
